Power Mirror Switch Test: Navajo

  1. Remove power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect left mirror connector. Apply voltage to mirror connector terminal No. 541, and ground terminals No. 540 and 542 . See Figure . Mirror should move in upward direction. Apply voltage to mirror connector terminal No. 542, and ground terminal No. 541. Mirror should move in downward direction.
  2. Apply voltage to mirror connector terminal No. 540, and ground terminals No. 541 and 542. Mirror should move left. Apply voltage to mirror connector terminal No. 542, and ground terminal No. 540. Mirror should move right. If left mirror tests as described in previous steps, replace power mirror switch. If left mirror does not test as described, replace mirror assembly.
  3. Disconnect right mirror connector. Apply voltage to mirror connector terminal No. 544, and ground terminals No. 542 and 543. See Figure . Mirror should move in upward direction. Apply voltage to mirror connector terminal No. 542, and ground terminal No. 544. Mirror should move in downward direction.
  4. Apply voltage to mirror connector terminal No. 543, and ground terminals No. 542 and 544. Mirror should move left. Apply voltage to mirror connector terminal No. 542, and ground terminal No. 543. Mirror should move right. If right mirror tests as described in previous steps, replace power mirror switch. If right mirror does not tests as described, replace mirror assembly.
