Computed Timing Check

Connect timing light, and check ignition timing. See IGNITION TIMING in ADJUSTMENTS article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section. Perform the following procedure as applicable:

• If ignition timing is not correct, go to CIRCUIT TEST PA (3.0L), CIRCUIT TEST PB (2.3L).
• If engine starts and then stalls, go to CIRCUIT TEST S.
• If engine will not start, go to CIRCUIT TEST AA (3.0L), CIRCUIT TEST AB (2.3L).
