DESCRIPTION
If you encounter a CTM (Central Timer Module) or GEM (Generic Electronic Module) related failure, first check the wire harness that routes over the CTM/GEM holding bracket. This bracket has a sharp edge and may have cut through some of the wires causing the failure.
NOTE:
Since all circuits are fuse protected the concern may also surface as a blown fuse.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
- Repair and seal the damaged wires and replace any blown fuses.
- Place a strip of foam tape on the top edge of the CTM/GEM bracket to prevent recurrence. See Fig 1 .
- Verify the repair.
