Door Lock Switch

  1. Using DVOM, measure resistance between door lock switch terminals with key removed from door lock. If resistance is more than 25,000 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 25,000 ohms, replace door lock switch.
  2. Using DVOM, measure resistance between door lock switch terminals with key fully rotated to end of travel in unlock direction. If resistance is less than 200 ohms, door lock switch is okay. If resistance is more than 200 ohms, replace door lock switch.
