Accessing Ford Specific PIDs

Turn ignition off. Ensure test equipment is properly attached. Program scan tool using the following steps:

• Select VEHICLE & ENGINE SELECTION menu.
• Select NEW VEHICLE, YEAR & MODEL.
• Select DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK.
• Select PCM - POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE.
• Select PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD.
• Turn ignition on or start engine and allow to idle.
• Follow operating instructions from scan tool menu.
• Select PIDs and press START to begin monitoring. If PID value is not as specified, perform appropriate CIRCUIT TEST.
