Description & Operation

Generator is a conventional 3-phase, self-rectifying type with 6 diodes (3 positive and 3 negative) that rectify current. On all models except MPV and Protege, generator contains an integral solid state voltage regulator. On MPV and Protege, voltage regulation is controlled by Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
