Diagnosis & Testing: Introduction

NOTE: Before testing transaxle, ensure fluid level is correct. Ensure engine starts with gearshift lever in "P" and "N" position to ensure proper adjustment of transaxle range switch.

Check for MIL or O/D OFF indicator light illumination with ignition switch in ON position. If either MIL or O/D OFF indicators are illuminated, check PCM for DTCs.
