Selector Lever Removal/Installation: Notes
WARNING:
Handling the air bag module improperly can accidentally deploy the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. Read AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS before handling the air bag module. See AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove in the order indicated in the illustration.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Inspect the shift-lock. See SHIFT-LOCK INSPECTION .
- Inspect the shift-lock release lever. See SHIFT-LOCK RELEASE LEVER INSPECTION .
- Inspect the key interlock system. See KEY INTERLOCK INSPECTION .
