Fuel Injector Removal/Installation: Notes

CAUTION: Disconnecting/connecting the quick release connector without cleaning it may possibly cause damage to the fuel pipe and quick release connector. Always clean the quick release connector joint area before disconnecting/connecting, and make sure that it is free of foreign material.
  1. Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the BEFORE REPAIR PROCEDURE .
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  3. Remove the accelerator cable bracket.
  4. Disconnect the fuel injector connectors and remove the harness from the fuel distributor.
  5. Remove in the order indicated in the illustration. Refer to REMOVAL NOTE .

  6. Install in the reverse order of removal. Refer to INSTALLATION NOTES .
  7. Complete the AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE .
