Front CROSSMEMBER: Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. For the MTX models, remove the change control rod and extension bar. See MANUAL TRANSAXLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove the front exhaust pipe. See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the transverse member. See TRANSVERSE MEMBER  REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
  4. Remove the steering gear and linkage. See STEERING GEAR & LINKAGE  REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
  5. Remove the front lower arm. See FRONT LOWER ARM  ARM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
  6. Remove in the order indicated in the illustration.

  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  8. Inspect the front wheel alignment as necessary.
