Powertrain Control Module (Pcm) Removal/Installation - 2.5L: Removal

  1. Retrieve the module configuration. Carry out the module configuration retrieval steps of the Programmable Module Installation procedure. See PROGRAMMABLE MODULE INSTALLATION (PMI) .
    NOTE:
    • PCM installation DOES NOT require new keys or programming of keys, only a Parameter Reset of the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS).
  2. Detach the wiring harness retainer from the cowl stud bolt.
  3. Disconnect the 3 PCM electrical connectors.
  4. Remove the 2 bolts and the PCM.
  5. Remove and inspect the PCM cowl seal, install new if damaged.
