Variable Tumble Shutter Valve Position Sensor Inspection

CAUTION:
  • The variable tumble shutter valve position sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. When replacing the variable tumble shutter valve position sensor, replace it together with the variable tumble shutter valve actuator as a single unit.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the fresh-air duct and air cleaner as a single unit. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Disconnect the variable tumble shutter valve actuator connector.
  4. Verify terminal A value (variable tumble shutter valve position sensor output voltage) when battery voltage is applied to terminal B or D.
