Variable Tumble Shutter Valve Position Sensor Inspection
CAUTION:
- The variable tumble shutter valve position sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. When replacing the variable tumble shutter valve position sensor, replace it together with the variable tumble shutter valve actuator as a single unit.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the fresh-air duct and air cleaner as a single unit. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the variable tumble shutter valve actuator connector.
- Verify terminal A value (variable tumble shutter valve position sensor output voltage) when battery voltage is applied to terminal B or D.
Applied to terminal Variable tumble shutter valve position sensor output terminal D B A B+ Ground Below 1.0 Ground B+ B+ - If there is any malfunction, replace the variable tumble shutter valve actuator. (See VARIABLE TUMBLE SHUTTER VALVE ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
