Non-Return Valve Inspection

NOTE: Non-return valve is integrated in the fuel tank. Therefor, before inspecting the non-return valve perform the following:

Remove the fuel pump unit. (See FUEL PUMP UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Siphon the fuel from the tank.
NOTE: The non-return valve is normally closed by the spring force.
Verify that the non-return valve is closed.
- If it is stuck open, replace the fuel tank. (See FUEL TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Verify that the non-return valve opens when pulled up by a finger.
- If it does not open, replace the fuel tank. (See FUEL TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
