Ultrasonic Sensor Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the rear combination light. (See REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the rear splash shield. (See SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the rear bumper. (See REAR BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Disconnect the connector.

  6. Pull the ultrasonic sensor in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure while pressing the ultrasonic sensor tab in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure, detach the ultrasonic sensor tab and bracket, and then remove the ultrasonic sensor from the rear bumper.

  7. Pull the bracket in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure while pressing the bracket tab in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure, detach the bracket tab and rear bumper, and then remove the bracket from the rear bumper.

  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
