Front Ultrasonic Sensor Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the set plate. (See SET PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the fresh-air duct installation bolts. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] .) (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)] .) (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)] .)
  4. Remove the front bumper. (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Disconnect the connector.

  6. While pressing the front ultrasonic sensor tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure below, pull the front ultrasonic sensor in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the front ultrasonic sensor tabs from the bracket.

  7. Remove the front ultrasonic sensor.
  8. While pressing the bracket tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure below, push the bracket in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the bracket tabs from the front bumper.

  9. Remove the bracket.
  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
