Using M-MDS

  1. Connect the M-MDS (IDS) to DLC-2.
  2. After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initial screen of the M-MDS.
    1. Select the "Powertrain"
    2. Select the "Engine Oil Maintenance Monitor"
    3. Select the "Change setting"
  3. Select "ON*1" or "OFF" from the M-MDS screen.

*1: When oil inspection/replacement is set to "ON", the engine oil deterioration condition is calculated based on the frequency of engine starts and the distance travelled. Because the engine oil deterioration condition cannot be calculated correctly if engine oil other than Mazda genuine oil is used, use Mazda genuine oil when setting the oil inspection/replacement to "ON".
