Fuel Pump Control Module Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Disconnect the fuel pump control module connector.
  4. Remove the fuel pump control module.

  5. Install the fuel pump control module using the following procedure.
    1. Insert the bracket tabs into the installation holes in the order shown in the figure.

    2. Temporarily tighten bolt A.
    3. Temporarily tighten bolt B.
    4. Tighten bolts A and B to the specified torque.

    Tightening torque 

    8-11 N.m {82-112 kgf.cm, 71-97 in.lbf}

  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
