Negative Battery Terminal Disconnection/Connection: Notes

WARNING:

Before removing the SRS air bag system-related parts, always disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min. or more to allow the back-up power supply to deplete its stored power.

Contact with the positive battery cable terminal could cause electrocution due to a short circuit and result in serious injury or death, or damage to vehicle parts. Do not contact the positive battery terminal when performing the procedure.
