Light Switch Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the column cover. (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Rotate the steering wheel until the service hole is visible in the position shown in the figure.

  4. While pressing the light switch tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull out the light switch in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure, and detach the light switch tab from the s tart stop unit.

  5. Remove the light switch.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
