Drive learning procedure

  1. Drive the vehicle under the following condition and operate shift up from 2nd to 3rd gear 4 times.
    • Engine warmed up completely
    • ATF temperature:60-110°C {140-230°F}
    • Accelerator pedal opening angle: Middle opening angle *1 or more
    1. Middle opening angle indicates 40-60 %.
    2. Verify the shift shock when shift up is operated from 2nd to 3rd gear.
      • If the shift shock is the same on a model of the same type, end the drive learning.
      • If the shift shock is more than on a model of the same type, perform the drive learning again.
        • If the shift shock is more than on a model of the same type even if drive learning is repeated, repair the malfunctioning location following the applicable symptom troubleshooting procedure. (See SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING ITEM TABLE .)
