Electronically Controlled Brake Unit Inspection: Notes

  1. Disconnect the electronically controlled brake unit connector. (See ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L.H.D.] .) (See ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L.H.D. (US)] .)
  2. Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(US)] .)
  3. Attach the tester lead to the electronically controlled brake unit wiring harness-side connector and inspect the voltage, continuity, or resistance according to the standard (reference) on the table.
