Wheel Alignment Pre-Inspection
- Park the vehicle on level ground in an unloaded condition* and with the wheels straight forward.
*unloaded: fuel tank is full, engine coolant and engine oil are at the specified level, and the spare tire, jack and tools are not loaded in the vehicle.
- Inspect the tire pressures.
- If necessary, adjust to the specified air pressure. (see Suspension Technical Data [(US)] .)
- Inspect the wheel bearing for play. (see Wheel Hub, Steering Knuckle Inspection

.)
- If necessary, perform replacement. (see Wheel Hub, Steering Knuckle Inspection .) (see Wheel Hub Component Removal/Installation [2WD (US)] .) (see Wheel Hub Component Removal/Installation [AWD (US)] .)
- Inspect the wheel for run out.
- If necessary, perform repairs. (see Suspension Technical Data [(US)] .)
- If it is the maximum specification or more, repair or replace the wheel.
- Shake the body and inspect the steering ball joint and suspension ball joint for excessive play.
- Shake the body and verify that the shock absorbers operate correctly.
- Measure dimension h from the edge of the fender to the center of the wheel on both the left and right sides.
- Verify that the difference between dimension h on the left and right sides measured in step 7 is within the standard.
