Telematics Communication Unit Battery Removal/Installation: Notes
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Passenger-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Glove compartment (without passenger-side knee air bag module) (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Passenger side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Telematics communication unit (See TELEMATICS COMMUNICATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Press the cover tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure below and pull it in the direction of arrow (2) to remove it from the telematics communication unit.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Move the telematics communication unit battery in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure below and remove it.
- Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Cover Installation Note .)
- If the telematics communication unit battery is replaced, perform the following procedure.
- Perform the telematics communication unit battery reset procedure. (See TELEMATICS COMMUNICATION UNIT BATTERY RESET PROCEDURE .)
- Clear the DTC. (Refer to CLEARING DTC in the service information)
