Telematics Communication Unit Removal/Installation: Notes
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts.
- Passenger-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Glove compartment (without passenger-side knee air bag module) (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Passenger side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the fastener.
- Remove the passenger-side front heat duct No. 2 (B).
- Remove the hose.
- Remove the bolts.

Type B
- Move the telematics communication unit in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure below.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the wiring harness clip.
- Remove the telematics communication unit and the bracket as a single unit.
- Remove the bolts.
Type A

Type B
- Remove the telematics communication unit.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- If the telematics communication unit is replaced, perform the procedure after the telematics communication unit replacement. (See PROCEDURE AFTER TELEMATICS COMMUNICATION UNIT REPLACEMENT .)
