Generators & Regulators: Description

Bosch alternators are conventional 3-phase, self-rectifying type alternators. Nine rectifier diodes are connected to stator windings (3 to each phase lead). Diodes change alternator A.C. voltage to D.C. voltage coming out "B+" and "D+" terminals of the alternator. Bosch regulators are transistorized solid state and integral with alternator.
