Full-Load Enrichment Test
- Separate coupling between throttle valve switch and ECU. Check resistance from throttle valve switch. In idle speed position should read approx. infinity. Under a full load should read 0 ohms. If not OK, replace throttle valve switch. If okay, go to step 2).
- Connect test cable to controlling element. Set volt/ohmmeter to read mA. Bridge throttle valve switch to ECU. Switch on ignition. Nominal value should read 7-9 mA (constantly). Check circuit between ECU and controlling element for passage. Should read 0 ohms. If OK, replace ECU. If not okay, repair short in circuit. See Fig 1 .
