Decel Shut-Off Check

  1. Reinstall fuel pump relay and start engine. Warm engine up to operating temperature. Make sure control valve on fuel gage is open.
  2. Run engine at idle. Increase engine speed for a short moment to approx. 2500 RPM. When engine speed drops, pressure should increase by approx. 6.0 psi (.42 kg/cm2 ). Combustion should start again at approx. 900 RPM.
  3. If nominal value is not attained, check microswitch, control current on controlling element, TD signal and ECU. See Figure .
