  Position At left wheelhouse
  Task Detecting vertical vehicle movements
Design/function The body acceleration sensor (B27/4) consists of an electronic vibration module (operating on the spring/mass system principle). It detects the vertical body accelerations at the front wheelhouse and supplies signals to the ME-SFI control module.
On a poor road surface, the engine irregular running analysis integrated in the ME-SFI control module is switched to a less sensitive setting.
