Task

To control the glowing of the glow plugs during starting.

Function

Turning the glow/starter switch (S2/2) further to position 3 initiates startglowing. The glow output stage (N14/2) receives a signal from the DFI [EVE] control module (N3/8) that the engine is being started. Voltage thus continues to be supplied to the glow plugs (R9). A voltage drop at the DFI [EVE] control module (N3/8) discontinues startglowing and initiates afterglowing
