  Overflow restrictor location At the suction gallery of the inline injection pump  
  Overflow restrictor task To bleed the suction gallery of the inline injection pump and ensure sufficient precompression in the suction gallery.
In case of fuel supply blockage (e.g. clogged fuel filter), to prevent unfiltered fuel from entering the inline injection pump by way of the return line
 
  Overflow restrictor function Fuel continuously passes through the overflow restrictor (15) and out the return port (b) back to the fuel tank. This process removes any gas bubbles that may be produced
