Automatic TPMS Restart

NOTE: The automatic restart method may or may not apply to Canadian only models.

NOTE: After wheel rotation or sensor replacement, the vehicle must be parked for 20 minutes before attempting to restart the TPM system.

If new wheels have been installed or when the vehicle has been stationary for longer than 20 min., the automatic wheel detection and axle assignment will overwrite the saved values and record the current values from the tire pressure sensors.

A new tire pressure sensor undergoes teach-in with a new identification number and is monitored after approximately 10 min of vehicle travel. Side localization is based on the right/left information of the tire pressure sensors.
