TFI-IV Equipped Engines Only

  1. Remove distributor from engine with secondary coil wire still connected to distributor. Remove module from distributor. Install a new module on the distributor.
  2. Connect a jumper lead from the distributor base to a good engine ground. Connect vehicle harness to module. Connect a spark tester to end of coil wire. Rotate distributor by hand and check for spark.
  3. If sparks did occur, reinstall distributor with a new module. If sparks did not occur, install a new distributor but use original module.
