Crankcase Pressure Test

  1. Remove breather hose from camshaft cover and plug opening. Remove oil filler cap and install adapter (10340). See Figure . Connect adapter line to 0-60 in. H2O gauge.
  2. Install Cap (10870) on dipstick tube and Cap (10872) on breather nipple of camshaft cover. Run engine at 4000 RPM, no load. Pressure should not exceed 6 in. H2O at 4000 RPM. If it does, there is an internal engine problem.
