MPFI System: Description

The Electronic Control Assembly (ECA) is the center of the system. The ECA receives and processes information. The ECA controls various outputs based on information received. A "Check Engine" light (malfunction indicator light) is used to alert the driver of certain malfunctions in the engine control system. If such a fault occurs, the processor will substitute a value or values, allowing the engine to operate from these preprogrammed values.
