A/C Cut Relay

The ECA uses the A/C cut relay to disengage the air conditioning clutch during power steering operation and during rapid acceleration. When the power steering is operated and engine RPM drops below 500, the ECA will switch the A/C off.

During rapid acceleration or Wide Open Throttle (WOT), the ECA will switch off the A/C cut relay for a period of about 16 seconds. If the throttle is released before 16 seconds has elapsed, the A/C will be switched on again after 3 seconds.
