Fuel Injectors
The fuel injectors are electro-mechanical devices which supply metered and atomized fuel to the engine. The amount of fuel supplied to the engine is determined by how long the injection solenoid coil is energized.
The length of time that injector is energized is known as pulse width. The ECA controls pulse width according to the inputs received from the various engine sensors and switches. When the injectors are energized, the needle valve is pulled off its seat. Fuel is then injected around the back face of intake valve.
