The clutch is single-disc type, using a diaphragm spring to engage pressure plate. On Capri turbo, clutch operation is controlled by a mechanical release system consisting of clutch pedal, cable, release lever and release bearing. On Capri non-turbo, clutch operation is controlled by a hydraulic release system consisting of clutch pedal, master cylinder, slave cylinder, release lever and release bearing.
