Pressure Bleeding Diagonal System
- Charge pressure tank with 10-30 psi. DO NOT exceed 50 psi. Clean any dirt from brake fluid reservoir cap. Fill reservoir to MAX with DOT 3 brake fluid.CAUTION: Reservoir MUST remain at least 3/4 full throughout bleeding procedure. Refill reservoir as necessary while bleeding. Ensure brake fluid DOES NOT contact paint or rubber parts. If it does, flush with water IMMEDIATELY.
- Install bleeder adapter tool on master cylinder reservoir and attach hose from bleeder tank to fitting on adapter. Open valve on bleeder tank.
- To bleed master cylinder, loosen then tighten brake line fittings one at a time. Allow fluid to flow several seconds before tightening each fitting. Repeat operation to ensure air is removed from master cylinder.
- Remove bleeder screw cap from left front caliper. Fit wrench on bleeder screw and attach hose to bleeder screw. Submerge free end of hose in container partially filled with DOT 3 brake fluid.
- Loosen bleeder screw about 3/4 turn. Allow fluid to run until it is clear of air bubbles. Repeat procedure until no air bubbles appear at submerged end of bleeder hose.
- Repeat previous steps at right front caliper and rear wheel cylinders in sequence. See BRAKELINE BLEEDING SEQUENCE table. After bleeding process, if pedal feels spongy, repeat bleeding procedure.
