Driver's Door Module: Notes
CAUTION:
Before replacing any control module, ensure all module ground and power circuits are functioning properly. For circuit identification, see GROUND DISTRIBUTION and POWER DISTRIBUTION in appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article in ELECTRICAL.
CAUTION:
Before removal of Driver's Door Module (DDM), module configuration information must be uploaded to Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS) tester, New Generation Star (NGS) tester or other compatible scan tool. New DDM must be programmed with this configuration information. See DRIVER'S DOOR MODULE under PROGRAMMING.
CAUTION:
Electronic modules are sensitive to electrical charges. Proper grounding of technician and workplace is essential to prevent damage.
NOTE:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. Vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more to learn strategy. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES
