Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the front engine appearance cover.
  2. Remove the throttle control spring.

  3. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle body lever.

  4. Remove the screw (cable to bracket) and remove the accelerator cable from the accelerator cable bracket.

  5. Remove the accelerator cable from the clip.

  6. Remove the nuts and the LH cowl extension bracket.

  7. NOTE: Non-memory pedal shown, memory pedal similar.

  8. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal and shaft.
  9. Remove the accelerator cable retainer (9E728).

  10. Remove the cable and grommet from the bulkhead.

  11. Pull cable through the dash panel and remove from the vehicle.
  12. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
