Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
  2. Disconnect the accelerator cable at the throttle body.
  3. Squeeze the tabs and remove the accelerator cable from the bracket.

  4. Disconnect the speed control cable at the throttle body.
  5. Disconnect the speed control cable from the accelerator cable bracket.
  6. Disconnect the throttle control return spring.
  7. Remove the 2 accelerator cable bracket bolts and the bracket.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
