Inertia Switch
The inertia switch is located at the center rear of the spare tire well. If sufficient force triggers the magnetic switch the fuel pump electric circuit opens.
With the fuel circuit is open, the engine will stop and cannot start until the inertia switch is reset. To reset the switch, open the liftgate and fold back the floor covering the spare tire well. Press button on top of the inertia switch. See Fig 1
NOTE:
DO NOT reset the inertia switch until the complete fuel system has been inspected for leaks.
