Tube Assembly: Disassembly

  1. Using a drift and mallet, remove tube assembly lower bearing. Remove mounting bracket clamp bolt. Remove screws mounting combination switches.
  2. Remove left and right side combination switch. Using a screwdriver, pry horn contacts from horn contact retaining bracket. Using a screwdriver, pry upper bearing and tolerance ring from tube assembly.
  3. Remove ignition switch screws. Remove ignition switch. Using key, Turn lock cylinder to "I" position. Depress lock cylinder spring clip. Remove lock cylinder.
