Test F
- Turn ignition on. Depress brake pedal until pump motor starts to run. When pump motor stops, check brake fluid level. If fluid level is low, check brake system for leaks. Repair as necessary. If fluid level is okay, go to next step.
- Disconnect 3-pin fluid level indicator connector. Measure resistance across terminals No. 3 and 4. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, replace fluid level indicator.
- Turn ignition on. Wait for pump motor to stop. Disconnect 5-pin pressure warning switch connector. Check for continuity between terminals No. 1 and 2. If continuity is present, replace pressure warning switch. If continuity is not present, go to next step.
- Measure resistance between 3-pin fluid level indicator pin No. 4 on harness side and ground. If resistance is 16 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 16 ohms, repair wire harness.
- Check for continuity between 3-pin fluid level indicator pin No. 5 and ground. If continuity is not present, connect all electrical connectors. Recheck symptom. If continuity is present, repair wire harness or replace parking brake switch.
