Notes on encoding/programming
The following steps must be taken after replacing the Car Access System (CAS):
- Program the CAS
- Encode the CAS
- For diesel engines: Carry out an adjustment with the DDE
The adjustment between the CAS and the Digital Diesel Electronics (DDE) is among the service functions. During the adjustment, the rolling codes for the electronic immobilizer (EWS, 3rd generation) are initialized.
