Component Testing: Speedometer

Adjust tire pressure to standard value. Using a calibrated, reliable speedometer tester, compare reading of vehicle to that of speedometer tester. For all models, see SPEEDOMETER ALLOWABLE VARIATION  chart. If speedometer readings do not fall between standard variation range, replace speedometer.
