Removal And Installation: Notes

CAUTION:
  • Refer to SRS SERVICE PRECAUTIONS and AIR BAG MODULES AND CLOCK SPRING before removing the passenger side air bag module.
  • Do not subject the SRS-ECU to any shocks when removing or installing the instrument panel.
  • When the glove box lid lock cylinder is replaced by key set of illustration < A >, register the encrypted code with the bar code on the ignition key in the key set. Refer to ENCRYPTED CODE REGISTRATION CRITERIA TABLE .

  • When replacing by the glove box lid lock cylinder of illustration < B >, do not register the encrypted code with the bar code on the ignition key supplied simultaneously.

The following bolts and screws are used for installing the instrument panel. Bolts and screws are indicated as marks shown in the illustration in the appropriate "Removal and Installation" and "Disassembly and Assembly."
