How To Shift Lock Forced Release
If the shift lever cannot be moved from the P position due to discharged battery or similar reasons, release the shift lock by observing the procedure below.
Remove the shift lock release button cover shown in the illustration. While pressing the shift lock release button with a screwdriver or a similar tool, move the selector lever.
