Work Procedure

  1. SAVING EPS CONTROL UNIT DATA (VEHICLE SPECIFICATIONS) 
    NOTE: Save necessary data stored in EPS control unit in CONSULT according to the following instructions:

    SYMBOL /> CONSULT

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Turn ignition switch ON.
    3. Select "Re/programming, Configuration".
    4. Select "EPS/DAST 3".
      NOTE: If "EPS/DAST 3" is not displayed and EPS control unit data cannot be saved on CONSULT, GO TO 3.
    5. Select "Programming".
    6. Save EPS control unit data on CONSULT according to the CONSULT display.

    GO TO 2.

  2. REPLACE EPS CONTROL UNIT 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait for 10 seconds.
    2. Replace EPS control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation .

    GO TO 3.

  3. WRITE EPS CONTROL UNIT DATA (VEHICLE SPECIFICATIONS) 
    NOTE: Write data saved in CONSULT into a new EPS control unit according to the following instructions:

    SYMBOL /> CONSULT

    1. Select "Programming".
    2. Perform programming according to the CONSULT display.

    Inspection End.
